AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO INCREASE PROFITABILITY, YIELD AND SUSTAINABILITY OF THE CHILE INDUSTRY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred forty-one thousand seven hundred dollars ($241,700) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to increase the profitability and yield of chile and to increase the economic sustainability of the New Mexico chile industry. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
