AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A NEW MEXICO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COURSE AND ITS ACCOMPANYING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to help develop the skills and knowledge of professional economic developers in New Mexico through an economic development course and an accompanying scholarship program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
