AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR AN EXPERIENTIAL COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER BASED ON A FIVE-ACRE FARM SCHOOL.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to provide funding for an experiential community learning center based on a five-acre farm school, involving learners of all ages in mental, physical and spiritual development and utilizing research and advanced learning concepts to design and implement quality educational programs in leadership training, entrepreneurship, the arts, agriculture and the environment. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
