AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO ASSIST THE BOARDS OF TRUSTEES OF LAND GRANTS IN ESTABLISHING AND IMPLEMENTING FOREIGN TRADE ZONES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION--ASSISTANCE FOR DEVELOPING FOREIGN TRADE ZONES.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to assist the boards of trustees of land grants in applying for, establishing, operating and maintaining foreign trade zones pursuant to the federal Foreign Trade Zones Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
