AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR COMMUNITY-BASED CANCER PATIENT SUPPORT SERVICES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($275,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to provide for comprehensive community-based cancer patient support services for cancer patients with any type of cancer, including education, patient library services, one-to-one matching with cancer veterans, survivorship support groups and an annual statewide survivorship conference. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
