Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, lines 11 and 12, strike "MULTICULTURAL CONTENT" and insert in lieu thereof "HISPANIC AND NATIVE AMERICAN MATERIALS".

2. On page 1, line 21, strike "all".

3. On page 1, line 22, before "shall" insert "concerning language arts and social studies".

4. On page 1, lines 22 and 23, strike "be multicultural in content" and insert in lieu thereof "contain material that is relevant to the cultures, languages, histories and experiences of the state's Hispanic and Native American students".
