AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO VETERANS' SERVICE COMMISSION TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY HOUSING FOR CERTAIN VETERANS BEING TREATED AS OUTPATIENTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION--NEW MEXICO VETERANS' SERVICE COMMISSION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico veterans' service commission for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 for the purpose of providing temporary housing for veterans with debilitating diseases being treated as outpatients in medical facilities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
