AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF INSTALLING VEHICLE DISABLING DEVICES ON RAMPS TO DISABLE VEHICLES GOING THE WRONG WAY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state highway and transportation department for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to study the feasibility of installing vehicle disabling devices on entrance and exit ramps in order to disable vehicles that are going the wrong way. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
