AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND INDEPENDENT LIVING COUNCIL SERVICES STATEWIDE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thirty thousand dollars ($330,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the vocational rehabilitation division of the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to contract with a statewide independent living council to provide a cost-of-living adjustment, start independent living programs in unserved counties and support rural independent living services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
