SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1___ to SENATE BILL 425

Amendment sponsored by Senator Cynthia Nava

1. On page 2, line 3, strike "twelve" and insert in lieu thereof "fourteen".

2. On page 2, line 5, strike "and school guidance counselors" and insert in lieu thereof ", educational advisors, faith-based organizations and community-based youth-serving organizations,".

3. On page 2, line 12, after the period insert "Meetings shall not be scheduled to interfere with council participants' school attendance".

4. On page 3, line 3, strike "and school guidance counselors" and insert in lieu thereof ", educational advisors, faith-based organizations and community-based youth-serving organizations".

5. On page 3, between lines 7 and 8, insert the following paragraph to read:

"(3) ensure that there is adequate adult supervision for youths participating in council activities;".

6. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.
