AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR COURT OF APPEALS OPERATIONS AND FOR CERTAIN OFFICE IMPROVEMENTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. Thirty-seven thousand three hundred dollars ($37,300) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 by the court of appeals in the following amounts for the following purposes:

(1) twenty-seven thousand three hundred dollars ($27,300) for operating costs, including continuing education registration fees, out-of-state travel and technology improvements necessary for archive responsibilities; and

(2) ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to plan and design improvements to and remodeling of the court of appeals office building adjacent to the university of New Mexico school of law in Albuquerque.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
