AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO OFFICE OF INDIAN AFFAIRS TO FUND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS IN THE NAVAJO COMMUNITIES OF PREWITT, CROWNPOINT AND HUERFANO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to fund economic development programs in the Navajo communities of Prewitt, Crownpoint and Huerfano. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
