AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO EXPAND OR CREATE DRUG AND DWI COURTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--

A. One million five hundred twenty thousand dollars ($1,520,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to expand juvenile and adult drug courts and DWI courts in the second, third, sixth, eleventh and thirteenth judicial districts; Bernalillo county metropolitan court; and McKinley magistrate court.

B. Five hundred twenty-two thousand three hundred dollars ($522,300) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to add juvenile and adult drug courts and DWI courts in the fourth, fifth, twelfth and thirteenth judicial districts and the Dona Ana magistrate court.

C. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 from an appropriation in this act shall revert to the general fund.
