FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS
IN ARTESIA IN EDDY COUNTY.
I request that the following capital
outlay projects be funded:
• to the state agency on aging
two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000)
to construct phase 2 of the senior center in Artesia in Eddy county;
•
to the department of environment
five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000)
to construct phase 2, including effluent ponds and a major sewer interceptor,
to meet environmental protection agency regulations for the Artesia wastewater
treatment plant in Eddy county;
•
to the local government division of the department of finance and
administration
two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000)
to design and construct phase 2 additions to Martin Luther King recreational
complex in Eddy county;
two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000)
to purchase a fire truck for Artesia in Eddy county; and
one hundred fifty thousand dollars
($150,000) to expand and upgrade equipment at the Artesia vocational training
center in Eddy county; and
•
to the state department of public education
ninety-five thousand dollars ($95,000) to
improve the road and parking areas, construct concession stands and restrooms
and install lighting and electrical outlets to the activity field north of
Brainard park in the Artesia public school district in Eddy county.
