FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN ALAMOGORDO IN OTERO COUNTY.

 

 

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

 

to the department of environment

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to replace the water lines on South Florida avenue between Santa Cruz drive and Panorama boulevard in Alamogordo in Otero county, including repaving the street, replacing the sidewalks, curbs and gutters and installing ramps; and

 

two million two hundred ninety-two thousand eight hundred dollars ($2,292,800) to improve and replace sewer lines in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

• to the state highway and transportation department

 

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) for improvements on First street, including sidewalks, ramps, fencing and lights, in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

two hundred ninety thousand dollars ($290,000) to widen the roadway along South Florida avenue south of Panorama boulevard to the armory, including installation of curbs, sidewalks, gutters and ramps, in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to extend South Scenic drive, including sidewalk, curb, gutter and ramp installation and railroad crossing construction, in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) to install a traffic signal at the intersection of First street and Cuba avenue in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

four hundred seventy thousand dollars ($470,000) to resurface and replace curbs, gutters and sidewalks on South Florida avenue from First street to Panorama boulevard in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

one million two hundred thirty-two thousand five hundred dollars ($1,232,500) to widen and extend South Florida avenue from the armory to Desert Lakes road in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

 

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to expand the electrical and water systems and construct a playground at Alameda park in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) for lighting at Hooser sports complex in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

three hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($375,000) for public restrooms for the parks in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to replace the cover at the family recreation center pool in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for a multipurpose recreational trail system in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) for an engineering study and plan for upgrading the electrical system at the Alamogordo public housing authority's Alta Vista complex in Otero county.
