SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 632

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2003

REQUESTED BY Don Kidd

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state agency on aging

eight hundred four thousand six hundred dollars ($804,600) for design and construction of additions to the Artesia meal site facility in Artesia in Eddy county;

• to the department of environment

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for design of a water system engineering plan in the Smokey Trail area in Eddy county;

one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) for improvement of the water system in Malaga in Eddy county; and

seven hundred eighty thousand nine hundred dollars ($780,900) for the design, construction and equipping of a water line tie-in between the Otis water cooperative and the Carlsbad municipal water system in Eddy county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

two hundred sixty thousand dollars ($260,000) for designing and remodeling the restroom and concession stand area to comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 at the horse council arena in Eddy county;

three hundred thirty-eight thousand dollars ($338,000) for improvements and repairs to the Eddy county sheriff posse arena in Eddy county; and

two hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($275,000) for design and construction of a fire station in Malaga in Eddy county.
