SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 80

46TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2003

REQUESTED BY Timothy Z. Jennings

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR THE DEXTER CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT IN CHAVES COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state department of public education

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for educational technology for kindergarten through twelfth grades and an elementary school laboratory at the Dexter consolidated school district in Chaves county;

eighty-four thousand dollars ($84,000) for purchasing furniture and equipment for new high school classrooms in Dexter consolidated school district in Chaves county;

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) for a storage facility for athletic equipment at the Dexter consolidated school district in Chaves county;

thirty-two thousand dollars ($32,000) to purchase and install televisions, including wall mounts and connectors, for the Dexter consolidated school district in Chaves county; and

eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000) for playground equipment, including picnic tables and benches, and covered areas for shade for the Dexter consolidated school district in Chaves county.
