SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 83

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2003

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state agency on aging

four hundred sixty-five thousand nine hundred seventy dollars ($465,970) to construct an addition to the Carlsbad senior center to provide an adult daycare group respite program in Eddy county; and

eight hundred four thousand six hundred dollars ($804,600) to design, construct and equip an addition to the Artesia senior center's meal site in Eddy county;

• to the department of environment

seven hundred eighty thousand dollars ($780,000) for improvements to the Otis water system in Eddy county; and

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to plan and design the Smokey Trail subdivision water system in Eddy county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for improvements to the Malaga volunteer fire department in Eddy county;

two hundred sixty thousand dollars ($260,000) to renovate the Eddy county horse arena restrooms and concession stand; and

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to replace equipment and expand the Artesia vocational training center in Eddy county; and

• to the board of regents of New Mexico state university

ninety-seven thousand dollars ($97,000) to improve the Carlsbad soil and water conservation district office in Eddy county.
