     Synopsis of SRC Amendment

 

The Senate Rules Committee Amendment to Senate Joint Memorial 45 added the New Mexico Commission on public broadcasting to the list of organizations to receive a copy of the memorial.

 

     Synopsis of Original Bill

 

The Coalition of Community Access Television Providers will be requested to provide local governments with information regarding access to existing and emerging telecommunications technology through public, educational and government access channels.

 

     Significant Issues

 

This Joint Memorial seeks to have community access television providers work with local governments to foster better access to public, educational, and governmental information by maximizing the use of existing and emerging forms of telecommunications.
