Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 11, after "COMMITTEE" strike the remainder of the line and strike all of lines 12 through 17 and insert in lieu thereof "TO STUDY THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARTER SCHOOLS.".

2. On page 1, line 23, after "standards" insert "and high accountability".

3. On page 2, strike lines 4 through 7.

4. On page 2, line 19, after "as" insert "other".

5. On page 2, strike lines 22 through 24.

6. On page 3, line 7, after "committee" strike "work group on charter schools".

7. On page 3, line 9, after "whole" strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 10 through 12 and strike line 13 up to the semicolon.

8. On page 3, line 15, after "committee" strike "work group on charter schools".

9. On page 3, line 16, after "the" strike the remainder of the line, strike line 17 up to the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof "second session of the forty-sixth legislature".
