AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND THE INTERCOLLEGIATE SPORTS PROGRAM AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to expand the intercollegiate sports program at New Mexico state university to meet the membership criterion of the national collegiate athletic association. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
