AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY SPORTS PROGRAMS TO FULFILL DIVISION 1-A REQUIREMENTS OF THE NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to expand New Mexico state university sports programs to fulfill division 1-A requirements of the national collegiate athletic association. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
