AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ARID URBAN TURF GRASS PROGRAM AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred forty-four thousand dollars ($244,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to establish an arid urban turf grass education, research and extension program in the agronomy and horticulture department. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
