    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 345

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 3. Line 17, strike “and”.

    2. On page 3, line 21, strike the period, and add “;and”.

    3. On page 3, between lines 2l and 22, insert a new subsection to read:

         “F. Ensure that all instructional materials purchased by school districts shall meet the public education department standards and benchmarks.”

    4. On page 4, line 25 and page 5, line 1, remove the brackets and line through from “An amount not to exceed thirty percent of the allocations attributed to” and strike “thirty” and insert in lieu thereof “fifty”.

    5. On page 5,lines 2 and 3, remove the brackets and line through from “be used for instructional material”.

    6. On page 5, lines 3 and 4, strike the underscored material.

     7. On page 5, lines 6, 7 and 8, remove the brackets and line through.

    8. On page 5, line 20, strike “twenty-five” and insert in lieu thereof “seventy-five”.

    9. On page 6, line 1, strike “seventy-five” and insert in lieu thereof “twenty-five”.
