AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE FIRE MARSHAL BUREAU TO PREPARE FEASIBILITY STUDIES AND CAPITAL CONSTRUCTION AND INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PLANS AND IMPLEMENTATION PLANS IN ORDER TO ATTAIN MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES AND TO COMPLETE THE BUILDING PROCESS AT THE NEW MEXICO FIRE ACADEMY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the fire marshal bureau for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to prepare feasibility studies and capital construction and infrastructure improvement plans and implementation plans in order to attain minimum standards for fire protection services and to complete the building process at the New Mexico fire academy. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
