AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND AN INSTITUTE FOR AMERICAN INDIAN EDUCATION IN THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO COLLEGE OF EDUCATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to operate the institute for American Indian education in the college of education at the university of New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
