AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE STATE ENGINEER FOR A STUDY BY THE TULAROSA COMMUNITY DITCH ASSOCIATION OF THE EFFECTS OF A PROPOSED DESALINATION PLANT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 for a study by the Tularosa community ditch association of the effects of the proposed water desalination plant on the water table and aquifer. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
