AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CENTER FOR BORDER EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to establish the center for border educational leadership for improving, in the border region, public school superintendents' skills. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
