AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STATEWIDE AQUIFER MAPPING PROJECT TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE BUREAU OF GEOLOGY AND MINERAL RESOURCES AT NEW MEXICO INSTITUTE OF MINING AND TECHNOLOGY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred twenty thousand dollars ($620,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 and subsequent fiscal years to conduct a statewide aquifer mapping project by the bureau of geology and mineral resources. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
