AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION--CHILD AND VICTIM SERVICES.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families

department for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to support services, including treatment, shelter and counseling, for victims of domestic violence and their children statewide. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
