    Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred


SENATE BILL 292, as amended


has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:


    1. On page 3, line 15, strike "neurological" and insert in lieu thereof "neurobiological".


    2. On page 23, strike lines 3 through 25 and on page 24 strike lines 1 through 15.

 

    3. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.


    4. On page 25, strike lines 20 through 25, strike all of pages 26 through 28 and on page 29, strike lines 1 through 8.


    5. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.


    6. On page 32, between lines 22 and 23, insert the following new sections:


    "Section 16. [NEW MATERIAL] STATE AGENCY ON AGING--SUCCESSOR AGENCY--DUTY.--The state agency on aging, or a successor agency, shall appoint the secretary or the secretary's designee to serve as a member of the interagency behavioral health purchasing collaborative and shall ensure that any behavioral health services, including mental health and substance abuse services funded, provided, contracted for or approved, are in compliance with the requirements of Section 9-7-6.4 NMSA 1978.


    Section 17. [NEW MATERIAL] NEW MEXICO OFFICE OF INDIAN AFFAIRS--SUCCESSOR AGENCY--DUTY.--The New Mexico office of Indian affairs, or a successor agency, shall appoint the secretary or the secretary's designee to serve as a member of the interagency behavioral health purchasing collaborative and shall ensure that all behavioral health services, including mental health and substance abuse services funded, provided, contracted for or approved by the commission, are in compliance with the requirements of Section 9-7-6.4 NMSA l978.


    Section 18. [NEW MATERIAL] PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT--DUTY.--The public education department shall appoint the secretary or the secretary's designee to serve as a member of the interagency behavioral health purchasing collaborative and shall ensure that any behavioral health services, including mental health and substance abuse services funded, provided, contracted for or approved, are in compliance with the requirements of Section 9-7-6.4 NMSA 1978.".


    7. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
