    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 426

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, lines 13 and 14, strike "PROVIDE A ONE-TIME ELECTION FOR CERTAIN ELECTED OFFICIALS" and insert in lieu thereof "EXPAND THE PERIOD IN WHICH CERTAIN ELECTED OFFICIALS MAY ELECT".

    2. On page 2, line 24, strike "thirty days" and insert in lieu thereof "twenty-four months".

    3. On page 2, line 24, after the semicolon strike the remainder of the line, strike all of line 25 and on page 3, strike lines 1 through 3.

    4. On page 3, line 6, strike "thirty days" and insert in lieu thereof "twenty-four months".

    5. On page 12, line 21, strike "refundable".

    6. On page 12, line 24, after the semicolon insert "provided, however, that, after December 31, 2006, no additional contributions shall be required pursuant to this paragraph;".

    7. On page 13, line 4, after "cost" strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 5 and 6 and insert in lieu thereof "as determined annually by the association; and".

    8. On page 13, line 12, after "employer" strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 13 through 16 and insert in lieu thereof a period.,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
