AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTRACT FOR A HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUT PREVENTION AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR HISPANIC STUDENTS IN ALBUQUERQUE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred sixty-four thousand four hundred fifty dollars ($664,450) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to contract for a high school dropout prevention and leadership program for Hispanic students in Albuquerque. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
