AN ACT

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO RELOCATE THE SHIPROCK FAIRGROUND FACILITIES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to contract with the Shiprock fair board for Shiprock fairground facilities relocation costs, including site development, fencing and construction of site utilities, paving of streets and construction of a rodeo arena, exhibit halls and a powwow arena. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
