STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

REQUESTED BY J. Paul Taylor

FOR SUPPLEMENTAL LIBRARY RESOURCE ACQUISITIONS FOR PUBLIC, PUBLIC SCHOOL, STATE ACADEMIC, STATE AND THE ANGELICO CHAVEZ LIBRARIES STATEWIDE.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the commission on higher education

ten million dollars ($10,000,000) for library resource acquisitions for state academic libraries in the state of New Mexico; and

• to the office of cultural affairs

fifteen million dollars ($15,000,000) for supplemental library resource acquisitions, including books, equipment and resources, for public libraries statewide;

sixteen million dollars ($16,000,000) to acquire library books, equipment and library resources for public school and juvenile detention libraries in the state of New Mexico; and

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to acquire library books, equipment and library materials for the state library and the Angelico Chavez history library in the state of New Mexico.
