SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 137

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

REQUESTED BY Don Kidd

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 34 IN LEA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of transportation

seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) to plan, design, engineer and construct road improvements to county roads in Lea county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

two hundred ninety-four thousand dollars ($294,000) to design, construct and equip a unit and recreation yards and purchase a vehicle for the female inmates of the detention facility in Lea county;

two hundred twenty-two thousand four hundred ninety dollars ($222,490) to plan, design, construct and equip, including a closed-air system, the medical unit at the detention facility in Lea county; and

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to design and construct a juvenile inmate unit at the detention facility in Lea county.
