SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 214

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

REQUESTED BY Carroll H. Leavell

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN LEA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of transportation

seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) for road improvements, including resurfacing and reconstruction, in Lea county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for construction of a juvenile area in the Lea county detention facility in Lea county;

two hundred ninety-four thousand dollars ($294,000) to develop a direct supervision housing facility for female inmates at the Lea county detention facility in Lea county; and

two hundred twenty-two thousand four hundred ninety dollars ($222,490) for improvements and additions, equipment and a closed air system for the medical unit at the Lea county detention facility in Lea county.
