SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 898

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SOCORRO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of environment

one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to upgrade and extend the wastewater collection system in Socorro in Socorro county; and

three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) for improvements to the water distribution system in Socorro in Socorro county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for the purchase and installation of playground equipment and additional campground hook-ups for Escondida lake in Socorro county;

two hundred sixty thousand dollars ($260,000) to purchase, install and renovate recreational facilities and equipment for parks in Socorro in Socorro county; and

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to establish and improve the community park in Socorro in Socorro county.
