    Your AGRICULTURE AND WATER RESOURCES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 126

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 18, after "congressional" insert "authorization of".

     2. On page 1, line 22, strike "approval of a settlement by".

     3. On page 3, line 7, strike "that have been".

     4. On page 3, between lines 13 and 14, insert a new section to read:

     "Section 3. APPROPRIATION.-–Ten million dollars ($10,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the interstate stream commission for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 and subsequent fiscal years to implement Indian water rights settlements. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.".

     5. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.,

and thence referred to the ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE.
