Mr. Speaker:

    Your BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 409

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 24, after "of" strike the remainder of the line, strike line 25 and on page 4, strike lines 1 and 2 and insert in lieu thereof: "the following nine members, who shall represent geographically the state, affordable housing advocates and practitioners:

                (1) three public members appointed by the governor;

                (2) three public members appointed by the president pro tempore of the senate; and

                (3) three public members appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives.".

     2. On page 4, strike lines 3 through 9 in their entirety.

     3. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

     4. On page 5, line 10, after the period strike the remainder of the line, strike all of lines 11 and 12, and insert in lieu thereof:

     "Money from the fund may also be used to reimburse the authority for actual expenses incurred in administering the fund in an amount not to exceed five percent of total funds disbursed from the fund.".,

and thence referred to the TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE.
