AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE BERNALILLO COUNTY METROPOLITAN ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT SERVICES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. One million four hundred thousand dollars ($1,400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the Bernalillo county metropolitan assessment and treatment services facility for the following purposes:

                (1) four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for the operations of a new transitional housing facility; and

                (2) one million dollars ($1,000,000) to provide medical services.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
