AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ART-BASED MENTORING SERVICES FOR AT-RISK STUDENTS WITHIN THE ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the provision of art-based mentoring services to students at risk of dropping out of school within the Albuquerque public school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
