AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE COMMISSION OF PUBLIC RECORDS FOR THE OFFICE OF THE STATE HISTORIAN'S NEW MEXICO HISTORY SCHOLARS PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state commission of public records for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the office of the state historian's New Mexico history scholars program for fellowships and for the implementation of a lecture program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
