AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND A SPORTS AND CULTURE PROGRAM FOR NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 and 2006 to fund a sports and culture program for Native American youth participating in North American indigenous games that promote cultural heritage and education. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
