AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE COMMODITIES SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM IN SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to distribute commodity food supplements in food boxes to senior citizens and others suffering food insecurity in southern counties of the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
