AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FIRE DEPARTMENTS TO ALLOW FIREFIGHTERS TO ATTEND TRAINING OFFERED BY THE FIREFIGHTER'S TRAINING ACADEMY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the insurance division of the public regulation commission for the firefighter's training academy for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide financial assistance to fire departments to allow firefighters to attend training offered by the firefighter's training academy. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
