AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO IMPLEMENT AND OPERATE A SATURDAY SCHOOL FOR CERTAIN STUDENTS IN THE GRANTS-CIBOLA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION--GRANTS-CIBOLA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to implement and operate a Saturday school in the Grants-Cibola county school district for students who are placed in detention or suspended for behavior that impedes the education of other students. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
