    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

 

SENATE BILL 252, as amended

 

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

 

     1. On page 7, line 22, after "to", insert "persons who operate off-highway motor vehicles on privately held lands or to".

 

     2. On page 8, line 2, after "held", strike the remainder of the line and strike line 3 up to the semicolon.

 

     3. On page 19, line 5, strike "fifteen" and insert in lieu thereof "seventeen".

 

     4. On page 20, line 16, strike "and".

 

     5. On page 20, line 19, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof a semicolon.

 

     6. On page 20, between lines 19 and 20, insert the following new paragraphs:

 

                "(16) one representative from the United States bureau of land management appointed by the governor; and

 

                (17) one representative from the United States forest service appointed by the governor.".

 

     7. On page 21, line 4, strike "eight" and insert in lieu thereof "nine".

 

     8. On page 21, line 6, strike "eight" and insert in lieu thereof "nine".

 

     9. On page 21, line 10, after "members" insert ", except for representatives of federal agencies,".

 

     10. On page 23, line 4, strike "determine" and insert in lieu thereof "recommend".

 

 

 

     11. On page 23, line 6, after "locations", insert "to the state, county, tribal or local governing body or private entity that owns or administers the land upon which the park, facility or trail is located" and strike "determine" and insert in lieu thereof "recommend".

 

     12. On page 23, line 16, strike "restore" and insert in lieu thereof "recommend restoration" and strike "close" and insert in lieu thereof "closure of".

 

     13. On page 23, line 17, after "trails", insert "to the state, county, tribal or local governing body or private entity that owns or administers the land upon which the tracks or trails are located".,

 

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
