AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT FOR THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION DIVISION'S STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF THE STATE INCOME TAX CREDIT ON PRESERVATION OF CULTURAL PROPERTIES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the historic preservation division to contract for an analysis of the economic impact of the New Mexico income tax credit on preservation of cultural properties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
