    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 497

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 13, after "EXCEPTIONS" insert "; PROVIDING A PENALTY".

    2. On page 1, line 17, after "EXCEPTIONS" insert "--PENALTY".

    3. On page 3, between lines 6 and 7, insert the following new subsection:

         "F. A person who violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a petty misdemeanor and shall be sentenced in accordance with the provisions of Section 31-19-1 NMSA 1978.",

and thence referred to the CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE.
